A: Yes. The children are outside in the fresh mountain air whenever the weather and
activity permit. Many classes are held outside when the weather is good.
Students also go outside to do sketching, oil painting, to collect natural
materials for craftwork, etc according to age, ability and interest. Of course

A: Yes, the August bank holiday will be a normal Summer school day.

one of his friends/siblings?
A: If students wish to be in the same group as a friend or relative etc., please make a note on the application form. Please only request that children of similar age are together in the same group.

A: Students should bring a packed lunch, break-time snacks and a drink for the day with them.
Please note that there are no shop facilities on the premises,
nor in the nearby vicinity.

A: If the course you want to send your child
on is booked out prior to us receiving your application form,
we will telephone you immediately to discuss an alternative.
Q: Have the teaching staff been garda vetted?
A: Yes, our teaching staff have all been garda vetted.
Q: Do you provide all the art and craft materials?
A: Yes, the fee includes all art and craft materials.
Q: What kind of clothes do they need?
A: The children should wear normal everyday clothes which are suitable for playing and walking outdoors and for doing art and craftwork activities; a smock, apron or adult's shirt to cover themselves for very messy activities; wellingtons and an anorak or raincoat if the weather is at all wet.
They can also bring a change of clothes and towel in case they get wet while paddling in the mountain stream when the weather is sunny.
Q: Is there a discount if I send more than
one child to the same course?
A: No, there is no sliding scale of fees
Q: Can the bus pick the children up from
A: There are set points for picking up children,
please see Bus Routes and Fares for more information. The
bus will stop en-route to pick up passengers where it is safe
to do so. You may want to discuss this with the bus driver
on the first day.
